Albergue de la Trinidad de Arre

The Albergue de la Trinidad de Arre sits at one of the most historically resonant entry points on the Camino Francés, just a short walk from the gates of Pamplona. The hostel occupies a building connected to the medieval Sanctuary of the Trinidad de Arre, a church that has served pilgrims crossing into Navarre for centuries. The site is run by the Capuchin Brothers, who maintain the tradition of monastic hospitality that has defined this stop since the Middle Ages.

The location itself is striking. A centuries-old humpbacked bridge crosses the Ulzama River here, and a small waterfall tumbles nearby, making the arrival or departure feel quietly ceremonial. For pilgrims who have walked the Pyrenees route through Roncesvalles and the plains beyond, this is often the last night before Pamplona, and the setting offers a genuine moment to pause before the city.

The hostel provides the essentials well: dormitory beds, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and access to the adjoining church for those who want to pray or simply sit in silence. The inner courtyard with its garden gives the place an uncommon calm.
