La Naranja Peregrina is a small private pilgrim hostel in Muros de Nalón, a quiet coastal town in Asturias sitting at the mouth of the Nalón river. The hostel sits at the entrance to the town, making it easy to find after a day on the trail.
Open from March through October, it offers two dormitory rooms with a total of ten beds, with bed linen and blankets included in the nightly rate of 20 euros. The setup is straightforward and pilgrim-focused, with no general tourists in the mix. A communal dinner is available for 14 euros, with vegetarian and vegan options, and breakfast can be arranged for 6 euros separately. There is also a garden, covered bicycle storage, and laundry facilities on site.
The hostel has been running since 2018 and came under new management in 2025, now operated by Luis Antonio González López. Reservations are accepted via WhatsApp, which is worth doing in season given the small number of beds. For pilgrims walking the Camino de la Costa or the Camino Primitivo variants through Asturias, Muros de Nalón sits in a stretch of route that can be easy to underplan, and having a confirmed bed here takes some pressure off the day.
