Palatine Villa

Villa Palatina occupies a restored manor house nearly a century old in the small village of Paladín, in the municipality of Las Regueras in Asturias. The building has been converted into a superior tourist hostel, retaining the character of the original structure while offering modern comforts to walkers, cyclists, and travelers passing through.

The hostel sits directly on the first stage of the Camino Primitivo, the Primitive Way, which is widely considered the oldest pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela.

The Soto River runs alongside the property, giving arriving walkers and cyclists a natural place to rest and recover. The on-site restaurant focuses on traditional Asturian cooking, which in this region means hearty, ingredient-led dishes rooted in local farming and pastoral traditions. Fabada, cider, and cured meats are staples of the local table.

For those not walking the Camino, the surrounding countryside around Las Regueras offers good cycling and hiking terrain. The location places visitors close enough to Oviedo to make a day trip practical, while feeling genuinely rural and removed from the city.
