Stage 32 of 34

Sobrado → Arzúa

About This Stage

A moderate stage descending through Galician countryside to Arzua, where the Norte joins the Camino Frances for the final stages to Santiago. The terrain is gentle with a net descent, making this a manageable day after the marathon stage to Sobrado.

The walking passes through familiar Galician landscape of eucalyptus forest, small farms, and granite hamlets. The approach to Arzua brings increasing numbers of Frances pilgrims, and the trail becomes noticeably busier.

Arzua is a modest Galician town known for its Arzua-Ulloa cheese, a creamy cow's milk cheese with Protected Designation of Origin. The town marks the convergence of the Norte and Frances routes. Good services and accommodation available.

Terrain: Galician countryside, forest paths, rural lanes, gentle descent
