Zubiri is a small village in the foothills of the Navarra Pyrenees, set along the Rio Arga. The medieval Puente de la Rabia (Bridge of Rage) at the village entrance is a notable landmark, named for the legend that animals walked around it three times to be cured of rabies.
The village has several albergues (both municipal and private), cafes, a small supermarket, and a pharmacy. Services are adequate for an overnight stay.
Zubiri sits in a pleasant valley surrounded by green hills. The walking from here to Pamplona follows the Arga river valley through a series of small Navarrese villages.
