About Llárratz

Ilarratz, sometimes written as Llárratz or Ilarrazt, is a very small village in Navarra on the Camino Francés, between Zubiri and Larrasoaña.

The village belongs to the municipality of Esteribar and sits below Mount Measkoiz, near the Arga River valley. Historical records mention Ilarratz in the 15th century, when it appears to have formed a single council with nearby Eskirotz. Its residents were described as hidalgos, meaning they were free from certain feudal obligations.

The village itself is tiny, with only a small number of houses, water fountain, countryside views, and a peaceful setting.
