A Rúa

A Rúa is a village in the parish of San Paio de Buscás, in Ordes, reached after one of the prettiest short stretches of the stage, an 800-metre woodland path climbing gently beneath the trees from A Carballeira. It's a natural place to stop for a coffee, with bars and rural accommodation in the village.

On the way out, the parish church of San Paio de Buscás deserves a look. Of Romanesque origin, it displays a curious image of the saint shown beheaded above the blind window on its east end. Beyond, the route reaches Vilariño and turns onto a grassy lane shaded by oaks, chestnuts and laurels, the start of what many consider the loveliest section of the entire Camino Inglés.
