Ansião

Ansiao is a small town between Alvaiazere and Rabacal on the Camino Portugues. It provides a service stop for pilgrims walking through the hilly interior of central Portugal.

The town has cafes, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and basic accommodation options. The surrounding landscape is a mix of olive groves, pine forests, and limestone hills.

Ansiao is also the point where the connecting route from Fatima joins the Camino Portugues, so pilgrims who detoured to the Fatima shrine may rejoin the main route here.
