Arcade

Arcade is a small town on the Camino Portugues between Redondela and Pontevedra. It is famous throughout Galicia for its oysters, celebrated each April at the Festa da Ostra, one of the region's most popular food festivals.

The town has restaurants, cafes, and basic services including a train station. The medieval Ponte de Sampaio bridge nearby is a notable landmark. The oyster bars here are worth trying even outside festival season.

Arcade is a natural lunch stop, and the combination of fresh Galician oysters with a glass of local Albarino wine is one of the culinary highlights of the entire Camino Portugues.
