Arcos

Arcos is a small town on the Camino Portugues Central route, between Vilarinho and Sao Pedro de Rates. It sits near the point where the connecting route from Vila do Conde on the Coastal route merges with the Central route.

The town has a few hotels and restaurants, providing a service stop for pilgrims. The medieval stone bridge Ponte de Sao Miguel dos Arcos is nearby.

Arcos is a brief stop rather than a destination, but it marks the transition into the Minho region and the increasingly rural landscape that characterises the Central route north of Porto.
