About Baredo

Baredo is a small parish in the municipality of Baiona where the Camino takes an inland route climbing through the hills above the coast. The route follows the historic Estrada de Baredo, with the second significant climb of the day from the coast up to the Monte Alto Miradoiro lookout point.

From the mirador, pilgrims are rewarded with panoramic views of the Atlantic, the Cies Islands, and the Ria de Vigo. The descent from Baredo leads down through quiet lanes towards Sabaris and A Ramallosa.

Services in Baredo itself are very limited. A Casa do Peixe restaurant is mentioned in some guides as a stopping point, but availability should be verified. The parish sits between the well-serviced towns of Baiona (to the south) and Nigran/A Ramallosa (to the north).
