About Cadavéu (Cadavedo)

Cadavedo (Cadaveu in Asturian) is a small village perched on the dramatic western Asturian coast. The Ermita de la Regalina sits on a spectacular coastal promontory with views that make it one of the most photographed spots on the Camino del Norte.

The municipal albergue has 12 beds (5 euros, Easter to late October) and is managed privately since 2023. A second private albergue, Casa de Peregrinos Covi y Peter (10 beds), operates nearby. The village has restaurants, an ATM, and a small carniceria with mini-market for provisions.

The Playa de la Ribeirona below the cliffs is a wild, unspoilt beach accessible by a steep path. Local Asturian cuisine here features fabada, fish stews (caldereta), and pixín (monkfish) soup.
