Casanova

Casanova sits in the province of Lugo, in Galicia, on the Camino in the rolling country between Palas de Rei and Melide. The Camino runs through the hamlet.

The hamlet name simply means New House, a common Galician place name reflecting the historic patterns of land subdivision and farmstead naming in this region. Casanova has been a small farming hamlet for centuries.
