Colunga

Colunga is a small Asturian town between Ribadesella and Villaviciosa, near the MUJA (Museo del Jurasico de Asturias), which houses an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils found along the nearby 'Jurassic Coast'.

Pilgrims will find an albergue, restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. The town has a traditional Asturian character with cider houses and stone architecture.

The coast near Colunga has yielded significant dinosaur footprint finds, and the MUJA museum is worth a detour for those interested in paleontology.
