About Fuente de Cantos

Fuente de Cantos is an Extremaduran town and the birthplace of Francisco de Zurbaran, one of Spain's greatest Golden Age painters. A small museum dedicated to the artist is housed in his childhood home.

Pilgrims will find an albergue, restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, ATMs, and a pharmacy. The town has a pleasant main square.

The Extremaduran landscape around Fuente de Cantos is typical of the region: vast open plains, dehesa woodland, and scattered white-washed villages under enormous skies.
