About Lintzoain

Lintzoain, also written as Linzoáin, is a small village in Navarra on the Camino Francés, between Bizkarreta and Zubiri.

The village sits on the right bank of the Erro River and is considered the geographical centre of the Erro Valley. Historically, it was an old royal lordship, like other villages in the valley, and was governed through the valley’s local administration until the 19th century.

For pilgrims, Lintzoain is more of a quiet passing point than a full service stop. It has a handful of stone houses, rural valley views, and a small Romanesque church. There may be a bar, but opening hours are unreliable, so it is better not to count on food or drinks here.

The village is peaceful and attractive, but services are limited. Most pilgrims pass through on the way to Zubiri, especially before the long descent that comes after Alto de Erro.
