Montamarta

Montamarta is a small village north of Zamora, near the Ricobayo reservoir on the Esla River. The village has an albergue, a bar/restaurant, and basic services.

The landscape around Montamarta is open meseta with the reservoir adding visual interest. The walking is flat and can be hot in summer.

Montamarta provides a practical stopping point between Zamora and the important pilgrimage site of Granja de Moreruela.
