Pendueles

Pendueles is a small village in eastern Asturias where pilgrims face a route choice: continue on the official Camino along the road, or take the longer but spectacularly scenic Senda Costera (coastal path) following the cliffs and beaches to Llanes.

The village has a private albergue with limited beds, so booking ahead is advisable in summer. The Playa de Bretones and Camping La Paz are nearby. The Capilla del Santo Cristo del Camino marks the arrival point for those on the coastal variant.

Pendueles has a bar and basic provisions. The coastal scenery from here to Llanes, including views of dramatic cliffs and hidden coves, is considered among the most beautiful stretches of the entire Camino del Norte.
