Sebrayu

Sebrayo is a tiny hamlet near Villaviciosa in central Asturias, notable primarily for its proximity to the Monastery of Valdedios. The hamlet has a basic albergue and very limited services.

The nearby Monastery of Valdedios (also called 'El Conventín') is one of the finest examples of Asturian pre-Romanesque architecture, a style unique to this region and recognised by UNESCO. The 9th-century church is remarkably well-preserved.

Sebrayo is essentially a rural stopping point for pilgrims visiting the monastery, rather than a service town in its own right.
