Lourenza

Lourenza is a small Galician town between Ribadeo and Mondonedo, centred around the Baroque Benedictine Monastery of San Salvador. The monastery's facade is one of the finest examples of Galician Baroque architecture.

Pilgrims will find an albergue, cafes, restaurants, and basic services. The town has a weekly market and a quiet, traditional Galician atmosphere.

Lourenza marks the transition into inland Galicia, with the landscape of green hills, stone walls, and small farms that characterises the remaining stages to Santiago.
