Vilarinho

Vilarinho is a small village approximately 27 km north of Porto on the Camino Portugues Central route. It marks the transition from Porto's urban sprawl into the rural countryside of northern Portugal.

The village has a private albergue/guesthouse, a cafe, and a small shop. Services are basic but sufficient for an overnight stay. The nearby Mosteiro do Veiirao, about 1 km south, also has a municipal albergue.

Vilarinho is a quiet stop with a rural atmosphere. Pilgrims arriving here after the first day's walking through Porto's suburbs and forests will appreciate the calm setting before the longer walk to Barcelos the following day.
