Villadangos del Páramo

Villadangos del Paramo sits on the flat, exposed Paramo plain west of Leon. The walking here is across open agricultural land with little shade, a classic Meseta experience. The village has a municipal albergue and the Iglesia de Santiago, which retains Romanesque architectural elements.

The village offers basic services including a bar-restaurant and small shop. Many pilgrims pass through on their way to Hospital de Orbigo, but Villadangos can serve as an alternative stopping point for those who prefer a quieter night or who started their day later from Leon.
