Villafranca de los Barros

Villafranca de los Barros is a small town in the flat agricultural plains of the Tierra de Barros in Extremadura. The town has a large parish church and a traditional agricultural character.

Pilgrims will find an albergue, restaurants, cafes, and basic services. The surrounding landscape is open farmland producing cereals, olives, and vines.

The flat terrain of this section can be challenging in summer heat, with little shade and long distances between towns.
