Albergue La Faba

La Faba sits at around 1,000 metres elevation in the final stretch of El Bierzo before the Camino Francés crosses into Galicia, making this albergue a natural stopping point for pilgrims preparing for the steep climb to O Cebreiro. The village is small and quiet, and the hostel reflects that character well.

The albergue offers 52 beds across three dormitories fitted with privacy partitions, a practical touch that larger pilgrim hostels don't always provide. A well-equipped shared kitchen means walkers can prepare their own meals, useful given how few services exist in this remote stretch of the valley.

The grounds are one of the more appealing features here.
