Albergue Fin del Camino

The Albergue Fin del Camino sits on the western edge of Santiago de Compostela, making it one of the last stops for pilgrims completing their journey before reaching the cathedral. Its name, meaning "End of the Road," reflects its position as a true finishing-line hostel rather than a waypoint.

The hostel is reserved exclusively for pilgrims, with eight large dormitories each fitted with seven bunk beds. The scale is generous by albergue standards, and the facilities lean practical: a 24-hour kitchen with microwave access, free laundry service, free Wi-Fi, and a dining area large enough to seat 45 people at once. The 800-square-metre private garden gives arrivals somewhere to decompress after the final stretch into the city, which can feel both elating and surprisingly disorienting after weeks on the road.

The hostel operates under the Foundation of the Pilgrimage to Santiago, with all proceeds going to Caritas, the Catholic charitable network.
