Albergue Liberanos Domine

Rabé de las Calzadas is a small village on the Camino Francés, sitting just a few kilometres west of Burgos. Its name references the old Roman roads ("calzadas") that once crossed this part of the Castilian meseta, and pilgrims have been passing through for centuries on their way to Santiago de Compostela. The village marks the beginning of the long, open stretch across the high plateau, where the landscape opens up dramatically and the walking becomes more meditative.

The Albergue Liberanos Domine takes its name from a Latin phrase meaning "Lord, deliver us," a fitting invocation for a place that has welcomed tired walkers at the edge of the meseta. The hostel occupies a position on the village plaza and offers four rooms with lockers, including one adapted for wheelchair access, along with shared bathrooms.
