Complexo Xacobeo

Complexo Xacobeo sits in Tríacastela, a small but historically significant village on the Camino Francés that has welcomed pilgrims since the medieval period. The village takes its name from three castles that once stood here, none of which survive today, though the settlement itself has remained a waypoint for those walking to Santiago de Compostela for centuries. From Tríacastela, pilgrims historically carried pieces of limestone quarried nearby to be burned into lime for the construction of the cathedral in Santiago, a tradition that speaks to how deeply the Camino shaped the lives and livelihoods of these small Galician communities.

The Complexo Xacobeo operates as both an albergue and a pensión, offering private rooms with en-suite bathrooms alongside more standard pilgrim accommodation. Family rooms are available, which is relatively uncommon at Camino stops of this size. Rooms face either the garden or the surrounding mountains. The property includes a restaurant and bar, a sun terrace with an outdoor fireplace, a coffee shop, and a shared kitchen for those who prefer to prepare their own food.
