Ledigos

Ledigos is a small village in the province of Palencia, sitting on the flat Tierra de Campos meseta. It is a typical hamlet of adobe houses, and the Camino runs straight through the village.

The parish church of Santiago has three altarpieces dedicated to the saint, an unusual concentration that reflects how thoroughly Camino pilgrim devotion shaped religious life in this part of Palencia. Beyond the church the village is mostly working farms and the quiet rhythm of life on the meseta.

Services are limited to two albergues and a bar-restaurant. There is no shop, no pharmacy, no ATM, and no medical service.
