About Revenga de Campos

Revenga de Campos is a small village in Palencia province on the Camino Francés, between Población de Campos and Villarmentero de Campos. For pilgrims, it is a quiet passing point on the traditional route from Frómista to Carrión de los Condes.

The village preserves Camino links, including a street associated with French pilgrims and historic houses from the 16th century. Local Camino sources also note that Emperor Charles V is traditionally said to have spent the night in one of the village’s noble houses.

Revenga de Campos has limited pilgrim services. There may be a place to stop for food or drink depending on the season, but pilgrims should not expect a supermarket, pharmacy, ATM, or many accommodation options. Most walkers continue toward Villarmentero, Villalcázar de Sirga, or Carrión.

There is no major must-see here, but it is worth noticing the old Camino street and the traditional village atmosphere. The main practical advice is to keep water topped up, as this part of Palencia can feel long, flat, and exposed.
