About This Stage
A short, easy penultimate stage through quiet Galician countryside. The walking follows familiar patterns of eucalyptus forest, small farms, and stone hamlets. The reduced distance allows pilgrims to arrive early and rest before the final day into Santiago.
The terrain is gently undulating with no significant challenges. The route passes through several small hamlets that blur together in the typical Galician pattern. The proximity to Santiago means the trail is busy with anticipation.
O Pedrouzo (also called Arca) is a functional small town with accommodation and restaurants geared towards pilgrims preparing for their final morning. The town has no major attractions but serves its purpose as the last overnight stop.
Terrain: Forest paths, rural lanes, gentle hills, some paved sections through villages
