Cajarc → Limogne-en-Quercy

19.5 km | 4-7 hours | +594m / -444m

About This Stage

The route continues across the Causse de Limogne through the distinctive dry limestone landscape of the Quercy. The terrain is gently rolling through scrubby woodland and dry grassland with stone walls.

Watch for the Dolmen de Pech-Laglaire, a prehistoric megalithic tomb near the path. The causse is scattered with such monuments, evidence of habitation stretching back thousands of years. The Tuesday market in Limogne is excellent if your timing is right, selling local walnuts, goat cheese, and black truffles in season.

Limogne-en-Quercy is a quiet village at the centre of the causse with basic services and a pleasant square.

Terrain: Causse limestone paths, dry-stone wall lanes, scrubby woodland, village streets
