Polígono da Gándara

Polígono da Gándara is a business park in the municipality of Narón, Ferrol's industrial neighbour, and the first named waypoint once the Camino Inglés leaves the city. The route never actually enters the estate. Instead it turns off along a pedestrian path beside the ría, one of the more pleasant surprises of an opening stage that otherwise mixes promenades with road verges.

For pilgrims, the value here is practical. Hotel options sit within a short walk of the route, useful if you arrive in Ferrol late and want to knock a few kilometres off before a full first day, or simply prefer a quieter base outside the city. Beyond the estate, watch for a narrow underpass beneath the railway before the route winds down toward the monastery at Xubia.
