Aldeanueva del Camino

Aldeanueva del Camino is a small village in the Ambroz Valley, its name ('New Village of the Way') reflecting centuries of history as a waypoint on the Via de la Plata. The village has an albergue, cafes, and basic services.

The Ambroz Valley is green and pleasant, with chestnut forests and the Sierra de Bejar mountains visible to the north. The terrain becomes hillier from here onwards.

Aldeanueva marks the transition from Extremadura into the mountains of Castilla y Leon.
