The Estrella del Camino is a privately run pilgrim hostel in Frómista, open each year from March through November. It sits about 400 metres from the town centre, opposite the local medical centre, placing it slightly apart from the bustle around Frómista's famous Romanesque church.
Opened in 2009 and run by a host named Florentino, the hostel offers 32 beds across three dormitories of 10 to 12 beds each. It is not exclusively for pilgrims but is clearly oriented toward them, with practical amenities including individual lockers, a washing machine and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, and covered bicycle storage. Disposable sheets are available for an extra cost.
Reservations are accepted, which can be useful during the busier spring and summer months when Frómista sees steady traffic on the Camino Francés. Check-in opens at 2 PM, and the hostel closes at 11 PM in summer and 10 PM the rest of the season.
