Vilalba → Baamonde

A shorter, easier stage through the rolling Galician interior. The terrain is gentle with modest elevation changes through farmland and eucalyptus forest. The walking is pleasant and undemanding.

The route passes through typical Galician hamlets with granite horreos, stone walls, and small family farms. The landscape has the familiar green, damp character of the Galician interior.

Baamonde is a small village known for its connection to the sculptor Victor Corral, whose fantastical wooden sculptures of animals, pilgrims, and mythical creatures are scattered through the village streets and surrounding woodland, creating an unexpected open-air art gallery. The albergue and a few restaurants provide basic services.
