About Arleta

Arleta is a tiny hamlet in Navarra on the Camino Francés, between Zabaldika and Trinidad de Arre, as pilgrims make their way toward Pamplona.

Historically, Arleta was a small noble lordship rather than a large village. It was made up of a palace-house, a church, and only a few homes. Sources describe it as a former place of noble ownership that kept its lordship status until the early 19th century.

For pilgrims today, Arleta is mostly a quiet place to pass through. It has a peaceful rural setting, a few traditional buildings, and a small church. It is not a full service stop, so pilgrims should not rely on it for shops, pharmacies, or regular food options.

Arleta is best treated as a short pause on the approach to Pamplona. The route soon continues toward Trinidad de Arre and Burlada, where services become much easier to find before entering the city.
